Sharing the dream

Last week, we welcomed our friends to celebrate the unveiling of our project, Rancho Agave. We got to show all of our progress and also set the stage for the next year.

Taking groups around in golf carts, we had a chance to give everyone the grand tour. The freshly graded polo field was the star, as well as our world class arena/footing. We also blazed some off-road trails (warning everyone that some drinks would inevitably be spilled), venturing up around the houses and getting spectacular views of the mountains.

For dinner, we sat on the newly planted grass on the Northside of the barn at a long farm table. The horses in the barn poked their heads out to join the festivities as we all gathered to enjoy a family style meal. Conversation kept flowing and everyone enjoyed themselves as they swapped stories. And as one would expect, most of the conversations included horses or polo or a combo of both.

At the end of the night, we gave each guest a complimentary bottle of Rancho Agave tequila as a souvenir. True to form, many of the bottles didn’t make it home since we all began taking shots to keep the celebration going.

Thanks to everyone who attended and showed so much enthusiasm for our farm. It’s been a challenging road to get to this point, but getting such positive feedback filled us up with even more excitement than before.
