Building a farm: Part 2

The Inspections/REality

Our next visit, December 16th. Time to inspect every inch of the property. 60 acres and a lot of unused (or previously used) space. Old greenhouse, storage containers filled with hundreds of old bicycles, breeding barn now used for storing miscellaneous supplies (including a kiln, self serve gas pump, paint cans, and a walker).

We inventoried most of the equipment on property. Antique tractors, grain silos, u-hauls, dump truck scattered throughout.

December 22nd: more details, more problems, but spirits still high.

January 10th: final inspection, missing tractors, no one brave enough to step foot in the caretaker’s house, bridges that look suspect at best.

January 14th: we close on the property. Let the games begin.
